Current Ohio Governor and Republican Presidential Primary candidate John Kasich paid frequent visits to Morrow County during his tenure as a state representative, as well as his time in Congress.
“I was covering an event during the Morrow County fair and this group was waiting to make a presentation at the grandstand,” Evelyn Long said of the photo.
Throughout his time in state politics our correspondent Evelyn Long got to know him fairly well. Kasich, served as the state rep for what is now the 87th district from 1979-1982. He then served as the representative to the US Congress from 1983-2001.
