Highland FFA lives to serve

Submitted by Hannah Williams, Chapter Reporter This holiday season members of The Highland FFA chapter took the FFA motto into consideration, especially the line “Living to Serve”. On Dec. 11, a dozen members visited residents of Bennington Glen Nursing home and decorated Christmas cookies and spread a little holiday spirit. Also during the month of December, the chapter held a penny war. The Ag classes competed by putting change in jars that would go towards the chapter adopting a family. It is always important to give during the holiday season; whether you give your time, spread smiles and laughs or do something helpful for your community.
