Morrow County Seniors on Center holding annual meeting Jan. 13

Morrow County Seniors on Center will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the Seniors on Center facility in Mount Gilead. All members are expected to attend and meet the 2016 board members and hear an update on what the Center has done and is planning for 2016. A light lunch will be served at noon for those making reservations and this will be followed by the meeting at 12:30 p.m. All annual memberships with the Center must be paid in January.

Harmony Chapel’s Country Breakfast Buffet is Jan. 17

Harmony Chapel UMC will hold its Country Breakfast Buffet on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eggs are featured in casseroles, scrambled, deviled, and made-to-order omelets. Menu also includes breakfast breads, pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy, meats, fresh fruit, and PIE. The church is located six miles east of Mount Gilead and one mile south of Ohio 95 on CR 20. A freewill donation will be collected. An elevator for the handicapped is available.

Marengo Seniors having carry-in on Jan. 18

The American Red Cross encourages the community to make a lifesaving commitment to donate blood to help ensure a sufficient blood supply in the new year, beginning in January with National Blood Donor Month. T.O.P.S. meeting Monday evenings

T.O.P.S. #1597 of Mount Gilead meets Monday evenings at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Weigh in begins at 4:30 and the meeting starts at 5:30. Cardington Library seeks trustee

The Cardington-Lincoln Public Library has a vacancy for a library trustee with a 7-year term beginning January 1, 2016. This is a volunteer position. Dance held every other Saturday in Marion

A Dance is held every other Saturday from 7-11 p.m. at Sawyer Ludwig Park in the Shrine Building at 1313 White Oaks Rd., Marion. Admission is $8 for adults. The next dance will be held Jan. 9. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available. No smoking.
