Red Cross seeks blood donations
Summer is a difficult time to collect enough blood to meet patient needs. Donors of all blood types – especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative – are needed. The Red Cross must collect 15,000 blood donations every day to meet the needs of patients at approximately 2,600 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide. Harmony Chapel Ice Cream Supper is July 17
Harmony Chapel UMC will hold its Annual Ice Cream Supper on Friday, July 17. Serving begins at 5:00 p.m. The menu includes sandwiches, baked beans, chicken and noodles, variety of salads, and homemade cakes and pies…and of course Ice Cream. The church is located six miles east of Mt. Gilead and one mile south of SR 95 on CR 20. A freewill donation will be collected. An elevator is available for those needing it.
Fourth Saturday Breakfast is June 27
First Presbyterian Church, 55 N. Cherry St., will host a Fourth Saturday Breakfast, June 27, 7-10 am. The menu will be breakfast casserole, mixed fruit, and donut holes. The cost is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. This month’s proceeds will go to Hospice of Morrow County.
No Limits needs pantry donations
No Limits Food Pantry needs help from the community to feed Morrow County. Any donation is appreciated. Nonperishable items: Soup, toilet paper, cereal, Vegetables, Peanut Butter, any canned item. We see a rise in food pantry needs when school is out and at the holidays. 4046 Vine Street, Edison, Ohio. Center hours are 9-3 M-F. Food pantry hours 10: to 11:45- 12:30 to 2:45 (Monday, Wednesday & 1st & 3rd Friday of each month). Produce day if 4th Friday of the month.
