Wes Goodman filed his petitions at the Crawford County Board of Elections, officially becoming a candidate in the March 15 Republican primary for the Ohio House of Representatives in the 87th District, encompassing Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Seneca, and Wyandot Counties. The seat is currently held by State Representative Jeff McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) who is in his final term under Ohio term limits law.

“For the last six months, I have had the incredible honor to spend time visiting all five counties in the 87th district, and have met some amazing people,” said Goodman. “I’m proud of the effort we have been able to put together. I have knocked on nearly 3,500 doors, attended dozens of events, festivals, and fairs, visited businesses and churches across the district, and earned the support and endorsements of key elected officials and community leaders. We are in great shape to win this election in just ninety days.”
