12/08/2015 – Mt. Gilead Village Council President Emily Shaffer has resigned her position with village council, effective immediately.
This will leave three open positions on the Mt. Gilead council starting December 22, when the resignation of two other members will take effect.
The village is accepting letters and/or resumes of persons interested in filling the unexpired terms of these positions. To qualify, applicants need to have resided in the village one year and be an elector of the village. No member of council can hold any other public office, be interested in any contract with the village, or hold employment with the village (except a notary public, state militia or volunteer fireman).
Letters of application may be submitted to the Mayor’s office, 72 W. High Street, Mt. Gilead, OH 43338 until 5 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015.
