On November 1st, the Youth at St. John’s Lutheran Church held their monthly event for November following the worship service.

A carry-in dinner was attended by all the members followed by a Christmas card project for our military members. The Red Cross had asked if groups and organizations could prepare Christmas cards for our Veterans, Service Members and Military Family Members. St. John’s Lutheran Church completed a total of 786 cards in just a couple of hours!

After the Christmas cards were all done, the youth participated in a “Trunk or Treat” held in the parking lot by the adults of St. John’s. A hayride followed with the youth returning to the church to decorate pumpkins and work on other craft projects followed by supper.

This event was an opportunity for the youth to thank the military for their service by writing notes and drawing pictures in the Christmas cards.

Pastor Kelly attended the NALC Convention (Mission Possible Festival) held in Columbus on November 5, 6, and 7th.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is located at 6808 St. Rt. 314, North Woodbury.
