As of Friday, October 30, all dogs have been moved to the NEW Morrow County Dog Shelter.

The new shelter was closed over the weekend of Oct. 31 and Nov. I as the staff worked in their offices, arranging items that were just moved in and leaning new processes.

The new shelter opened Monday, November 2 with temporary hours of Mon-Fri 11 am to 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday 11 am until 2 pm. Once the staff gets adjusted and have routines, the hours will be extended. This increase in hours will likely occur after the beginning of the New Year.

Dog Warden Sarina Atwell asks that if you have an emergency, please dial 911 or the sheriffs office at 419-946-4444. Otherwise you may leave a detailed voice mail for the shelter staff at 419-946-1747.

Atwell stated, “As always we appreciate your support and patience! Thank you.’
