Naturalist James Anderson of the Marion County Park District will host a number of free programs for the public during November, including the final night hike of 2015 at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 19 at the Marion Tallgrass Trail.

Monday, November 2: The Tallgrass Trail Nature Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m., with a Colorful Critters program at 4 p.m.

Thursday, November 5: Tallgrass Trail Nature Center open from noon to 5p.m., with a skull program at 4 p.m.

Monday, November 9: Tallgrass Trail Nature Center open noon to 4p.m.

Thursday, November 12: Tallgrass Trail Nature Center open noon to 4 p.m., with a nature hike at 4 p.m.

Saturday, November 14: Bicycle hike with a naturalist from 9 to 11 a.m., and then the Tallgrass Trail Nature Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Visitors will do acorn painting and make acorn owls.

Monday, November 16: Tallgrass Trail Nature Center will be open from noon to 4 p.m., with a Birding 101 class at 3 p.m.

Thursday, November 19: Tallgrass Trail Nature Center open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with the final night hike of 2015 on the Tallgrass Trail from 5p.m. to 6 p.m. If visitors would like to bring a flashlight, it should project red light so that night vision is not compromised.

Saturday, November 21: Hike with a naturalist on the Tallgrass Trail from 9 a.m. to 11a.m., followed by a tree identification program at Myers Woods at 1 p.m. Myers Woods is located on Marion-Wyandot Road, halfway between Stauffer and Prospect-Upper Sandusky Road.

Monday, November 23: Tallgrass Trail Nature Center open from noon to 5 p.m., with a bird adaption Class at 4 p.m. For more information about the Marion County Park district, see www.marioncountyparks.info or leave a message on the park district answering machine at 740-223-4161.
