Are you a long distance runner or walker? Do you enjoy the outdoors? If so, you may be interested in participating in the 15th Annual Wild Run at the Headwaters Outdoor Education Center on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1:30 p.m.

Conducted by the Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District and the Headwaters Outdoor Education Center Committee, the cross-country race will be run on a 5K-grass course. The event is being held as a fundraiser for development of the Headwaters Outdoor Education Center and its programs. Also at 1 p.m. we will be conducting a Kids “Fun Run”. Each participant will get a ribbon.

The HOEC is located at 151 Home Road, just off of US Route 42, north of the Morrow County Correctional Facility. Commemorative t-shirts will be given to the first 50 individuals to register. The registration fee is $10.00 per participant. You can pre-register in advance of the race by contacting the Morrow Soil and Water Conservation Office at [email protected] or by calling the office at 419-946-2229 or registration opens at 12:30 p.m. on race day. Age brackets, for both men and women, will be: 18 and under; 19 – 29 years; 30-39 years; 40-49 years; 50-59 years; and 60 and over. Award medals will be presented to the top three overall individuals and to the top finisher in each age group.
