At the May 27, 2015 Regional Planning Commission meeting Leonard Robinson was elected chairman of the RPC. Robinson had previously served as secretary.
A new secretary was not chosen. Dave Gentile will fill in temporarily taking notes for the RPC until a secretary is elected.
In other business:
It was a unanimous decision by the RPC to recommend to the Morrow County Zoning Commission to approve the application for a zoning amendment from Roc Castricone.
Castricone and his wife Maria wish to re-zone their residential property in Edison to commercial in order to move their business, Buckeye Training and Fitness Academy to that new location.
Currently the business operates on Delaware Ave. in Mt. Gilead.
In the application, the Castricone’s note that the new location on State Route 95 is an ideal location for their expanding fitness business.
The next step is for the Morrow County Zoning Commission to make a recommendation to the Morrow County Commissioners who would then hold a public hearing on the application.
The next Regional Planning Commission meeting will be held on Wed. June 24 at 7pm at the Community Services Building.
