The American Red Cross of Morrow County is assisting a family of four after a home fire in Marengo on Morrow County Road 170 early Monday morning. Volunteer disaster responders, Dwight McFarland and Bob Cunningham assessed the immediate needs of the individuals living in the home and provided aid for food, lodging, and clothing.

Canteen services were also provided to first responders on-scene during the fire.

Red Cross volunteers will continue to aid the family as needed and assist in long term recovery planning with resources, information, and referrals to partner agencies.
