The second annual Cardington Street Fair will kick off officially at 11 am on Saturday, June 27, and will feature a circus theme with something for every age.

The events will take place along Park Street from the Community Park to the Post 97 American Legion Hall. Entertainers will be performing from the park stage during the afternoon and evening. Food vendors and the Chinese Raffle will be found in the park shelter house. Cardington business people are donating to this raffle.

Kicking off the day of fun at 11 am will be acts from the Toledo Zoo performing on the park stage. Later, the Striped Circus, a Detroit, Michigan troupe, will give two shows in the park. Also participating will be the Amazing Giant Circus from Columbus featuring a stilt walker.

The Acoustic Stage will be placed between the Legion Hall and the fire house where acts will perform beginning at 1 pm.

There will be Inflatable figures for the youngsters and the Post 97 American Legion Hall will be the site for activities for senior citizens including bingo games and entertainment by the Spangler Sisters. At 7 pm, Ken and Mary from Marysville will re enact the Lawrence Welk Show in the Legion Hall. The Eight Sisters Bakery, Mount Gilead, will be selling food from the Legion Hall kitchen. The parking lot at the Legion Hall will be limited to parking for the handicapped only.

The Cardington-Lincoln Music Boosters will be selling chicken and noodles from the Shelter House at 4 pm.

The Morrow County Historical Society will offer programs from the log cabin in the park and the Morrow County Antique Tractor and Equipment Association will have some equipment for viewing.

There will be strolling entertainers including the White Lily Chapel Singers from Ashley and much more entertainment at no cost for all to enjoy.

The Cardington Rotary Club will serve a pancake breakfast from the Community Building from 8 am to noon.

The day will wind up with a colorful and thrilling fireworks display compliments of Cardington Yutaka Technologies at dusk.
