Veterans Day will be observed on November 11, 2015, when Jenkins-Vaughan Post 97 of the American Legion, Cardington, hosts a dinner and program at the post home.
The beef or chicken entree dinner will be served at 6 pm. Assisting with the dinner will be members of Chester Arbor of the Gleaner Life Insurance Company.
The program will begin at 7 pm. Recognition will be given those who have maintained the Veterans Memorial at the Morrow County court house.
The Post Everlasting service will honor six Post 97 veterans who passed away during the past year: Hermann Ericson, William Burns, William Philbrook, Chester James Ullom, Joe Harris and Carl Peterson.
Veterans and their spouses are invited. Reservations must be made by November 6 by calling Jim Crawford at 419-946-8911 or Jim Morris at 419-864-9860.
