Highland students honor law enforcement officers

On Thursday, September 17, students from Mrs. Williamson, Miss Potter and Mrs. Wetzel’s class wrote thank you letters and baked cookies for the local Sheriff’s Department and State Highway Patrol to thank them in observance of ‘National Thank a Police Officer Day’ on September 19.

On Friday, September 18, Deputy Plough from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Sergeant Flanagan from the State Highway Patrol visited Highland Elementary classrooms to collect the letters and goodies the students made them and speak with the students about what they do in the community to help keep us safe!
