The 41st Lutheran Memorial Camp Apple Butter Festival will be celebrated Sunday, October 11, 2015.

Beginning at 11 am and continuing to 5 pm there will be food, fun and games for the entire family, which will provide “Camperships” (financial assistance) to children who want to participate in the camping experience.

There is no charge to the camp and the highlight of the day will be the Grand Auction from noon to 3 pm. Silent bids can be made and later collected in the Auction Tent and winners will be announced shortly after 3 pm.

Visitors will be treated to an array of desserts including some that are sugar and gluten free. Following tradition there will be a variety of foods, an outstanding arts and crafts show as well as hayrides through the camp. Entertainment will vary from face painting, a Bounce Castle with slide; a petting zoo, demonstrations, kids’ craft projects, cupcake decorating, and a scarecrow making competition with prizes awarded.

There will also be cider making and scrumptious apple butter.

The Folk-rock ensemble Avalon Nine will be playing tunes by the Cedar Lodge and “Crafters in Cabins” will display their hand made Americana Gifts for sale. Marking the Fall season there will be pumpkins to purchase and decorate.

Donations to the Grand Auction may be made at the camp office.
