The Strength Team is coming to Morrow County next Monday, October 12. It is comprised of Christian professional athletes doing incredible feats of strength, including breaking concrete blocks, bending steel rods, ripping large phone books in half, etc.

They will be holding assemblies in the Highland Schools during the school day and then Monday evening at 7 p.m. Highland High School will host an event that is open to the public. The county is encouraged to attend. Admission is free, although they will accept donations.

The event is being sponsored by Mt. Gilead Glory Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff Deel said, “This is a rare opportunity for our county to be able to have the Mike Hagen Strength Team. It’s a great faith event. During the daytime school assemblies, the team promotes an anti-bullying message, as well as promoting good character traits. The evening event allows the team to share their faith. We hope people will come out and enjoy the evening event. “

For additional information, please call 740-747-2437. Highland High School is located at 1300 State Route 314, Sparta.
