MOUNT GILEAD — Two incidents last week resulted in drugs being seized in Morrow County.

On Friday, Dec. 4 Deputy Brandon Newsome conducted a traffic stop in Bennington Township. During the traffic stop suspected methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl were seized from the vehicle along with $200 in cash, according to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, Deputy Newsome was assisting ODNR with a suspected trespassing complaint.

During the investigation Deputy Newsome was able to recover suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, suspected prescription medication, suspected marijuana and $486 in cash.

Both cases remain under investigation by the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office. No further information is available, Sheriff John Hinton said Thursday morning.
