This is a reminder and an invitation to the PERI Chapter #73, Morrow Co. Meeting, Tues., Sept. 8 at 8 am, Morrow County Hospital, Lower Level Meeting Room A, Mt. Gilead. Breakfast is $5 per person. Next bloodmobile is Sept. 14

Did you know that blood cannot be made artificially, and it has a limited shelf life; some components only a matter of days. It is constantly in demand for accident victims, elective and required surgeries, disease control and more. Donate now and bring a friend on Mon., Sept. 14 at Trinity UMC from 12 pm to 6 pm or Sat., Sept. 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Woodbury from 9 am to 3 pm. The Morrow County Chapter of the American Red Cross is an agency of the United Way of Morrow County.

No Limits needs pantry donations

No Limits Food Pantry is open to all Morrow County residents. (Income eligible, under the ODJFS guidelines, to receive food). Location: Vine Street, Edison. Open every M-W 10-11:45 A.M. 12:30-2:45 P.M. 1st and 3rd Friday 10-11:45 am. 12:30-2:45 pm. We are in need of food and monetary donations. Please help us feed Morrow County.

Upcoming Trips at Seniors on Center

Chess Club is back

Chess Club is back starting September 15! Join Pete and Rhonda Dettra on Tuesday afternoons for the Mount Gilead Public Library’s Chess Club. The Chess Club begins at 4 p.m. on the third floor. The club is open to all ages and skill levels.

TOPS meets on Monday evenings

Marengo MOPS meets 1st, 3rd Fridays monthly

Moms’ Connection meets two Thursdays monthly

Voices for Morrow County meet every 3rd Tuesday

Voices of Morrow County is a club which meets to provide Morrow County citizens with informative and educational programs about social justice issues. The club meets the 3rd Tuesday each month at the Community Services Bldg., 619 W. Marion Rd., Entrance B.

Friends of Cardington meets 3rd Tuesday monthly

Friends of Cardington meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6 pm in the Cardington Municipal Building council chambers.

Narcotics Anonymous daily and night-time meetings held in Mt. Gilead

The Narcotics Anonymous “Lunch Bunch” meetings are being held daily in Mt. Gilead from noon – 1:00 at 81 N. Rich St. The Monday night NA “Hope in Recovery” meeting is being held at this same location from 5:00 – 6:00, and the Friday night NA “Eleventh Step Candle Light” meeting from 7:00 to 8:00.

Friday Night Faith & Hope Group meets weekly

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Friday night, 8-9 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, 75 S. Cherry St., Mt Gilead. There is also an Al-Anon (family of alcoholics) meeting held separately.

Dance held every Saturday in Marion

A Dance is held each Saturday from 7-11 p.m. at Sawyer Ludwig Park in the Shrine Building at 1313 White Oaks Rd., Marion. Admission is $8 for adults. No dance will be held Aug. 8 and 15 but will resume Aug 22 and 29. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available. No smoking.

Veterans Services meet 3rd Wed. monthly

The Veterans Service Commission will meet at 10 a.m. on the 3rd Wed. of each month with the exception of Nov.’s meeting which will be held on the 2nd Wed. at 10 a.m. The public is welcome.
