At the August Tomorrow Center board meeting, the board approved the hiring of Stephen J. Earnest as treasurer for the Tomorrow Center, replacing Susan Delaney who resigned in July. Earnest is currently the treasurer for Tri-Rivers Career Center and for GOAL Digital Academy.

Director Dan Vincent discussed the current financial situation of the school, “After sitting down with Mrs. Delaney for an hour and discussing our financial situation, I feel good, and we are fiscally sound.”

Brian Petrie, Superintendent of Cardington Schools, noted that the carry over that had been reported in the past in excess of a million dollars has changed because of the agreement with Mt. Gilead however, “starting the year with $600,000 plus dollars for a school of this size is very healthy.”

The board approved the following employees for employment with the Tomorrow Center: Rebecca Weaver, Anna Moore, Michelle Thieret, Sarah Shaffer, Kitchen Aide, Naomi Jackson, Intervention Specialist, Amy Brown, Classroom Aide.

The board approved the following contracts: Contract between Great America Financial Services (copier), agreement between Tomorrow Center and META Solutions for PowerSchool Hosting beginning July 1, 2015-June 30, 2016, agreement between META Solutions and the Tomorrow Center for EMIS Coordinator, August 1, 2015 thru

The Tomorrow Center will be hosting an Open House and Community Resources Fair on Tuesday Sept. 8 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

The next regular board meeting will be held on September 14, 2015 at 4:00 PM. The meeting will be held in Cardington Lincoln Intermediate building located at 3700 County Road 168 in Cardington.
