The Gorman Nature Center is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Richland County Park District!

This community open house event will feature tours of the Gorman Nature Center eco-friendly nature center and grounds, hikes to explore the property, hands-on activities with the GNC educational animals, snacks and beverages from local businesses (including blueberries from the Blueberry Patch and apple cider doughnuts from Apple Hill Orchard) and much more!

The RCPD Anniversary Open House is Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 from 3 pm –6 pm. Visitors will have the chance to meet the RCPD staff, learn all about park district properties (including some recent acquisitions), hike the GNC trails, find out about public programming (including the free educational programs we provide to over 20,000 local students annually) and much more!
