The tax hearings for RITA will be at the village of Edison municipal building, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Trinity United Methodist Church Community Dinner; 5-6:45 p.m.; turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes. Includes: vegetable, choice of salad, rolls, dessert and drink. Dinners are $8 per person. No charge for children 10 and under. Dine-in or carry-out available.

Cardington Holiday Bazaar. 9 a.m-3 p.m., Cardington-Lincoln High School.

The Morrow County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at the Mount Gilead Public Library Annex, 35 East High St. The program entitled “Shopping in Morrow County 1848-1987” will be presented by Stan Sipe. Meeting will begin at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

The Galion Public Library will host a “Build Your Own Gingerbread House” event from 1-4 p.m. Participants need to bring their own gingerbread house bases. The library will supply the icing and decorations. All ages are welcome to attend. Participants are also invited to leave their creations at the library to compete in the annual Gingerbread House Contest. . Registration is required to participate. The Tomorrow Center Board of Directors will meet at 4:30 p.m., in the conference room of the Cardington-Lincoln Intermediate School. The public is invited.

Nov. 24

First Presbyterian Church, 55 N. Cherry St., will host the final Fourth Saturday Breakfast, 7-10 a.m. Made-to-order omelet breakfast. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. This month’s proceeds will be used for Christmas giving.

Dec. 7

Annual Christmas Parade, downtown Mount Gilead, 7 p.m., Light the Night with Musical Madness; other events begin at 5 p.m. Activities will be held at the Mount Gilead Library and at participating downtown merchants. Parade will kick off from the fairgrounds at 7 p.m. and travel north on Main Street.

Dec. 8

Pines Christian Church, 6775 U.S. North, Johnsville, Nativity open house, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. More than 2,000 sets; homemade soup, cookies and hot drinks. Free clothes closet in the cabin, 9 a.m.-noon. For special group visits to nursing homes, etc. call 419-362-6903.

Dec. 13

Christmas in Cardington, 5 p.m. Lights contest and prize for the best lighted house. Santa, cookies, raffles, music, Grinch, cookie decorating, ornament making, food, live Nativity. Hosted by Cardington Market.
