The fourth annual Poker Run and Cruise Along, sponsored by The Patriot in Cardington, will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015.

The event benefits Hospice of Morrow County as it has the past three years. Last year it raised $2100 for Hospice.

The event is open to all interested drivers but especially to motorcycles and classic cars. Registration is $20 per vehicle.

In a traditional poker run, participants draw a playing card at each stop with the winner being the person with the best “Poker Hand” at the end of the run.

This year, cards will not be drawn. Instead a game of skill at the end of the run will determine the winner who will receive a cash prize. Much of the fun is in the ride itself with good food and other activities at the final location, all benefiting Hospice of Morrow County, Inc.

A menu of tasty food including breakfast will be served all day, Saturday at the Patriot, 217 West Main Street, Cardington. They will also host a Chinese auction and various games throughout the day.

Contact Amy at The Patriot for registration details. Whether riding or not riding, anyone can enter to win a trip to Cancun or other prizes in the raffle.

Raffle tickets are $5 each and these can be purchased at The Patriot, at Janick and Co Financial Services or at the Hospice office. Another option is to come by The Patriot to eat and play – prizes will be awarded beginning at 5 pm. There will be live music by “Smooth Cut,” following.

The Patriot Bar is owned by Jeff and Amy Trusler. Amy can be reached the Patriot by calling 419-864-9504.
