Dec. 1

Morrow County Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas Parade, “Christmas on the Silver Screen,” 7 p.m. Pre-parade activities and celebration will be hosted by the Mount Gilead Public Library, 5-7 p.m.

Dec. 2

Morrow County Family Fun Christmas, 4-7 p.m., Seniors on Center. Snacks, crafts, visit from Santa. Shows by Mr. Puppet, comedian and master puppeteer and the Michael Rose Christmas Show.

Morrow Manor of Chesterville Secret Santa Workshop for kids to make Christmas gifts for to give. For ages 1-12. Hours are 1-3 p.m. While kids are crafting, parents and grandparents can visit and enjoy hot chocolate. Call and register in advance. Contact Karen at 419-768-2401; 155 N. Christmas open house at Perry Cook Memorial Library. The library will be decorated for the holidays for a day of celebration. Enjoy snacks, crafts, fellowship, and a visit from Santa; 406 County Road 242, Shauck; 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Morrow County Dog Shelter open house, 4-6 p.m. Light refreshments, raffles and dog-related items available to purchase for gift giving; 115 Young Ave., next to the Sheriff’s office; 419-946-1747.

Trinity United Methodist Church’s Community Christmas Cantata, 7 p.m. in the Trinity UMC Sanctuary. Traditional Christmas carols, blended with new Christmas songs conveying the message of Christmas, in the presentation of A Candlelight Christmas by Benjamin Harlan.

Christmas at Selover Library, Chesterville, 6-7:30 p.m. Visit with reindeer, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, make a craft, and take pictures in the photo booth. Free admission.

Dec. 10

The Central Ohio Symphony’s annual holiday concerts 2 and 4:30 p.m., Gray Chapel on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan. The orchestra under the direction of Music Director Jaime Morales-Matos will perform two identical concerts of seasonal music. Tickets are available at the Symphony Source office at 24 E. Morrow County Railroad History, 7 p.m., Seniors on Center; presented by Donna Carver. You can step back in time and ride the rails through this visual tour of the county’s railroad past. 55+ Lunch at Selover Public Library, Chesterville, noon. Bring a dish to share if you can. For those age 55 and up. After lunch, Rocky Bonecutter will discuss development plans for the I-71/95 interchange.
