Assistance given

Officer assisted Cardington Police Department with a subject threatening to shoot someone on West Williams Street. It was dealt with appropriately.

Suspicious person

Officer assisted Morrow County Sheriff’s Office with a man walking around on State Route 61. Vehicle search found marijuana. He also had a suspended license and a warrant out of Cuyahoga County.

Accident

A vehicle struck another vehicle on Park Avenue as it was attempting to pass on the right, causing damage.

Drug paraphernalia

The manager of the complex on Lee Street found drug paraphernalia after the residents moved out. The items were taken and destroyed.

Theft reported

Resident on South Delaware Street reported his yellow BMX Haro bike was stolen from the property.

Complaint at store

Manager of a store on West Marion Road reported disruptive man. It involved an alleged shoplifting charge regarding his wife.

Animal complaint

A woman said her neighbors on South Delaware Street left two dogs unattended for four days living in filthy conditions. The dog warden was contacted.

Vandalism

Village employee reported someone spray painted graffiti inside a dugout on the lower baseball field. The services department spray painted over the graffiti.

Graffiti on wall

A business on West High Street reported someone had spray painted graffiti on the rear wall of the building.

Theft of card

A woman on Douglas Street reported someone stole her debit card and used it.

Disorderly conduct

A man was taken to Morrow County Jail for a mental health evaluation after making threats and outrageous claims on North Main Street.

Charges filed

A motorist on West Marion Street was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension, improper turn and an active warrant out of Marion County.

Trailer struck

A woman reported striking a trailer on South Delaware Street the previous day causing property damage to her vehicle. She said there was no damage to the trailer. When asked why she didn’t report it initially she said she had to go to a meeting and go bowling.

Deer struck

A motorist from Galion reported striking a deer and killing it on West High Street.

Intoxicated

Report of several intoxicated juveniles on West High/North Main streets was investigated.

Trespassing

Two men carrying Airsoft guns went to HPM Corporation to shoot them. They were advised that is considered trespassing and not to return.

Active warrants

A suspect was arrested on two active warrants out of Richland County.

Drunken man

A man on South Rich Street was taken home after it appeared he was under the influence of alcohol. He was advised if he was seen on the street again he would be arrested for disorderly conduct.

Traffic offenses

A man was cited for no operators license and expired registration.

Drugs found

A vehicle was stopped for no license plate on North Cherry and West Union streets. K-9 officer alerted on the vehicle and a search found two marijuana cigarettes, a pipe and scales. Driver was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Warrant issued

Officers arrested a man for a warrant from Richland County.
