Crawford County Fair is being held July 19-25 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.

Patricia Smith presentation July 22-23

Patricia Smith, the visiting writer in poetry at Ashland University, will present a reading on Wednesday, July 22, at 7 p.m. and will give a craft talk on Thursday, July 23, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Senior Citizens Day at the Crawford County Fair July 23

Crawford County Council on Aging, Heartland of Bucyzus, and Cravford County Fair Board will be sponsoring the 32nd Annual Senior Citizens Day at the Crawfordord County Fair. The day of scheduled events will take place July 23 in the Youth Building. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., entertainment will begin at 10 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and door prizes väll be awarded after lunch (you must be present to win a door prize.) Senior Citizen admission inta the fairgrounds will cost $2. Lunch will be free, but a ticket must he obtained at the Council on Aging, 20D S. Spring St., Bucyrus, in order to reserve a seat and a box lunch.

Marvel Movie Marathon July 23

A Marvel Movie Marathon will be held 11 a.m.-8 p.m. July 23 at the Galion Public Library. Pizza and snacks will be served.

North Central State College Information Open House July 23

North Central State College faculty and staff will hold an information open house 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. July 23 at the Crawford County Education & Economic Development Partnership (CCEEDP), 117 E. Mansfield St., Bucyrus.

Free community meal July 23

Trinity Lutheran Church, 291 N. Union St., Galion will serve its free community meal 5-6 p.m. July 23.

Percy Hall Orchestra concert July 23

Percy Hall Orchestra will perform in the Courtyard at Kingwood Center Gardens 7:30 to 9 p.m. Admission to Kingwood will be free after 7 p.m. through the Trimble Road gate. In case of rain the concerts will be held in the Meeting Hall or Exhibit Hall.

Summer Reading Program: Touch-A-Truck and Final Drawings July 24

Come with the Bucyrus Public Library to Aumiller Park on July 24 from 2-3:30 p.m. This event is free of charge, open to the public, and will take place at Aumiller Park. Call 419-562-7327, ext. 104.

Downton Abbey Tea Party July 24

A Downton Abbey Tea Party will be held 7 p.m. July 24 at Galion Public Library. A contest will be held for the best hat. This event is free, but registration is required. Call 419-468-3203.

A program on caterpillars will be held 10 a.m. July 25 at Heckert Nature Preserve.

Daughmer Savannah nature hike July 25

A Daughmer Savannah nature hike is planned at 3 p.m. Participants are asked to meet in the facility’s parking lot.

Ice Cream Social July 25

An ice cream social will be held 4-7 p.m. July 25 at Richland Rural Life Center, 969 E. Crall Rd., Mansfield. All items are priced Á la Carte.

Viewing the Night Sky program July 25

A Viewing the Night Sky program is planned at 9 p.m. at Lowe-Volk Park.

Dr. Calvin Taylor concert July 26

The Ontario United Methodist Church will once again host Dr. Calvin Taylor, pianist and recording artist. Dr. Taylor will present the musical worship service “Holy Scripture—Alive with Sounds of Music” on July 26 at 10:15 AM. Dr. Taylor has toured throughout the world performing in North and South America, Europe, Ukraine, and the Far East.

Frog jumping contest July 26

A frog jumping contest is planned for 2 p.m. At Lowe-Volk Park. Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m. The program is open for those up until age 16.

Lee Martin presentation July 27-28

Lee Martin, the visiting writer in creative nonfiction at Ashland University, will present a reading on Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m. as well as a craft talk on Tuesday, July 28, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Domestic abuse survivor presentation July 27

Domestic abuse survivor Lisa Workman will present a program at 6:30 p.m. at the Crestline Public Library on her struggle to break free from abuse.

Positive Christian Singles meeting July 27

Positive Christian Singles will meet 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Galion.
