MOUNT GILEAD — The Mount Gilead Exempted Village Schools Board has hired Tonya Boyd as the district’s Treasurer.

Boyd’s tenure in the district will formally begin Oct. 1.

She expects to meet with district departments and building leaders this fall. Parents, students, staff, and community members will have an opportunity to meet with Boyd Sept.19 at 6:30p.m., prior to the board of education’s 7 p.m. meeting.

Boyd is currently the Treasurer of Crestline Exempted Village School District. She has worked as Assistant Treasurer of River Valley Local Schools and Cardington-Lincoln Schools.

In addition, she worked a number of years in the private sector. Boyd looks forward to getting to know the community, students, and staff of Mount Gilead.
