CARDINGTON — Those wanting to watch the total solar eclipse Monday can do so at the American Legion Park.

It will be visible from 2-3 p.m.. The Food truck will be on site at 11:30 a.m. serving sandwiches, gyros and fries.

The last time a total solar eclipse crossed the country from sea to sea was June 8, 1918.

Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most awe inspiring sights — a total solar eclipse. This path, where the moon will completely cover the sun and the sun’s tenuous atmosphere — the corona — can be seen, will stretch from Salem, Oregon, to Charleston, South Carolina.
