CARDINGTON — St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall) will conduct a three-class slow cooker program for adults.

Based on Scripture and founded on delicious fun, Rock The Crock participants will learn how to prepare nutritious, reasonably-priced, and easy-to-make dishes using a slow cooker.

The three-class program will meet on Mondays, Sept. 11, 18 and 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cardington Community Center, at 111 W. Second Street. Pre-registration is required.

The cost to attend is $10 per adult due the first night of class. For information about the Rock the Crock classes, contact St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall) at 419-864-9303 or visit St. John’s Facebook page for a registration form: www.facebook.com/stjohnwindfall/.

Rock the Crock is funded through a grant from the Northwestern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The program is designed to offer the community a way to meet the nutritional needs of families and empower them to cook at home using easy to obtain ingredients.

Learners will come together each week to share in a sampler meal of new recipes before instruction. Topics to be covered include the five-ingredient formula, cooking tips, modifying recipes and tips for healthy eating. Attendees will receive a free slow cooker, cooking utensils, a workbook with recipes and a pantry starter kit.
