Cardington FFA members travel to Honduras

Three members of the Cardington FFA chapter and their adviser have returned from a nine-day trip to Honduras where they explored International Agriculture while learning to serve away from their community.

They helped paint benches, build a sidewalk, plant a garden and taught the ag class about agriculture through providing hands-on activities for the youngsters. These activities were completed the first three days.

They also visited a school on the island of Boca Del Rio Viejo where they interacted with the children by passing out stickers and playing the game “Pato Pato Gonzo.”

FFA members who took the trip were Alicia McElwee, Jordan Deskins and Katelyn Denney, with adviser Erin Wollett. The trip was funded through The Ohio State University.

Their experience from this trip will give them a better understanding of the diversity that the agricultural industry has throughout the world.
