OSU Extension Morrow County would like to share two free educational opportunities coming up in July.

On July 12 at 6 p.m. they will be hosting a Timber Harvesting and Marketing class at the Ag Credit Building in the upstairs conference room at 5362 U.S. 42. Kathy Smith, Program Director of Forestry at The Ohio State University, will talk about how to successfully market and harvest timber on your property.

Andy Sabula, Morrow County area Forster with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will be talk about the services he can offer to residents of Morrow County.

On July 29 from noon until 4 p.m., the Morrow County Dairy Association in partnership with Marvin Ruhl, Ed Ruhl, Farm Bureau, Ag Credit, OSU Extension Morrow County, Smith Foods and Morrow County Jr. Fair Board are hosting an Educational Dairy tour of the Ruhl Farm (Royal Haven Farm).

The tour will have various stops to teach you about the ins and outs of a dairy farm. There will befree delicious dairy treats to enjoy during your visit. Come learn about: feeding, cow care, milk testing, nutritional dairy food values and so much more.
