MOUNT GILEAD — The storm is over and no major damage appears to have been done locally.

A flash flood warning was lifted Friday evening after heavy rains came through Morrow and surrounding counties.

About 2 inches of rain fell. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office reported all roads open Saturday morning. On Friday some roads had high water and became impassable.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Marion, Mount Gilead, Cardinton, Prospect, La Rue, Morral, Waldo, Chesterville, Sparta, Caledonia, Ashley, New Bloomington, Edison, Green Camp, Marengo, Iberia, Shauck and Ohio 229 at Ohio 23.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.

No more rain is forecast through Sunday.
