Generous hearts resulted in a total of $39,000 raised for Hospice of Morrow County, Inc. when the annual Hearts for Hospice dinner and auction was held at the Cardington-Lincoln High School.

Receiving the Frances Turner Heart of Caring Award were Bob and Lana Henry, of Mount Gilead. The Henrys have supported Hospice of Morrow County for many years and have done it in a rather unique and creative way.

“We recognized them for both the history of their support and their creativeness in giving,” said Julie Blankenship, executive director of the Hospice program.

The Heart of Hospice Award was made to Hard Scrabble Farm/Jim and Joanne Trainer and family. This award was presented to a true family business for at least three generations of support for Hospice of Morrow County through financial support, volunteering, board participation. The award was accepted by the entire Trainer family.

Serving up the buffet dinner was Special Occasions, LLC of Upper Sandusky.

Auctioneers for the live auction were Craig Miley and Bill Creswell assisted by Rex Strine, Mike McKinney and Paul Kemp.

The staff of Hospice of Morrow County, Inc. thanks the entire community for helping to make this benefit a success.
