MOUNT GILEAD — The National Weather service has issued a wind advisory, in effect today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Southwest winds from 20 to 30 mph are possible, with gusts to 50 mph. Winds will increase this morning and peak this afternoon.
Strong winds may bring down limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible.
Winds of this magnitude can cause minor property damage without extra precautions being taken.
Motorists should use caution, especially motorists in high-profile vehicles.
