The 10th annual Bowl for the Cure Tournament was played at Morrow Lanes, Saturday, Feb. 11. The tournament was held, as it has since its inception, in memory of Kendra Benson, niece of Debbie Popp, co-proprietor of Morrow Lanes, who passed away of breast cancer at the age of 32.

Throwing the first ball was Judy Miley. The winning team members (by one point) are Sam Stiffler, John Fischer, Heather Foltz, Mitzi Thompson and Sandy Ackerman. A total of $3,072.50 was raised by the event. Top fund raisers were Tara Anderson, ($280) and Ed Welch ($273).

A tote bag donated by the Susan G. Komen Columbus Affiliate, and a bottle of Tequila Rose (one of her favorite drinks) were given away in memory of Sherry Crawford, one of the original organizers of this event, who passed away recently. It was won by Andy Cole.

Also, a tie-knot blanket made and donated by Brenda Mathews, also in memory of Sherry, was won by Mitzi Thompson.

Donors of door and raffle prizes included Dawn Fleming, Wanda Mitchell, Carol Patterson, Laura McCery, Jamie Postell, Cardington Hairsmith, Cardington Home and Auto, Cardington Village Market, Eldonna McKInniss, Brenda Matthews, Robin Stiffler, Mitzi Thompson, Tracy Zeigler, Pat Postell, Jenny See, Cole Postell and the Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
