No major legislation was considered when Cardington Village Council met Dec. 5.

Given a third reading and approved were two ordinances related to the adoption of the budget and a third ordinance approved was the edition and inclusion of certain ordinances as parts of the various component codes of the codified ordinances of the village.

An amended resolution renewing the OHM advisors contract to perform the services of zoning inspector for the village was given a third reading and approved.

Fiscal Officer Deb Fry submitted bills totaling $23,254.82 and they were approved for payment.

Police Chief James E. Wallace said the department received 122 calls for service in November, 27 more than this same time last year.

He also said Taser training was scheduled for Saturday, Dec.10. Fry thanked all who donated to the adoption of a senior and a youth through the Morrow County Job and Family Services. She said many items and cash totaling $385 were received. Items were purchased and delivered to Morrow County Job and Family Services.

The next scheduled meeting of village council is Dec. 19.
