Highland High School Class of 1976 held their 40th class reunion on July 23rd at B&O Railroad Depot in Mount Vernon. There were 51 class members that attended, out of the 102 member graduating class with nine classmates that are now deceased.
The classmates that traveled from out of state were from California, Washington, Missouri, Texas, West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and Canada.
The night’s festivities featured a live auction, that raised over $4,200 to be used for scholarships for future HHS graduates. The class also donated $140.00 to Highland’s Jr. High campaign to stop school bullying.
The reunion committee would like to thank all that participated in making our 40th class reunion a great success.
