It’s back to school time and for the Cardington FFA this means getting a group of new members.

On Aug. 10, the chapter held its annual new members orientation for eighth graders and freshmen coming into the program.

While the parents met with Erin Wollett, chapter advisor, the students were divided into groups and visited the different station led by the 2016-2017 FFA officer team.

At these stations, the new members met with the officers and were taught different leadership skills by participating in various activities. During the orientation, the new members were given a taste of what the FFA experience would encompass.

Following the orientation the entire FFA Chapter, including the new members, were invited to the Cardington swimming pool for a social event.

It was well attended and gave the new members an opportunity to get to know some of the other chapter members.

Overall, the day was a huge success and chapter members look to the new school year.
