The Humane Society of Morrow County recently opened their first ever physical location since their inception over 40 years ago.

The HSofMC is a 501(c)(3) organization run entirely by volunteers.

This new Animal Resource Center (nicknamed, the ARC) will house foster kitties, provide community outreach for those in need, provide educational outreach to children and other interested groups and host yearly events, just to name a few of the great things happening there.

The HSofMC provides assistance with low cost spay and neuter services.

The program will be facilitated from this location moving forward. The ARC will serve as their administrative offices for all work done by their dedicated volunteers.

They are open three days a week and the first and third Saturday of each month at this time. S

andi Williamson led the board on opening day with the official ribbon cutting ceremony. They are located at 16 S. Main St, Mount Gilead.
