Olen Dale and Ruby Jackson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
The couple was married on June 6, 1966 at the home of Rev. Earl Gill in Manchester, OH. Olen and the former Ruby Edith Sherman met while both teaching for the Mount Gilead Exempted Village School District, from which they are both retired.
They are planning a trip to Ireland and Scotland later this year to celebrate the milestone anniversary.
They are the parents of Merrily (John) Antony, Derek Jackson and Rebecca (Joe) Weaver. They have six grandchildren.
