There is a colorful mural on Main Street in Mount Gilead which is bringing joy to residents who hope it’s the beginning of a renaissance for the village.
Gannon to compete for MVNU
After two strong years of cross country and track and field at Mount Gilead High School that saw him run in both sports’ state meets — including being part of a state champion cross country squad — Aaron Gannon will continue his career in those sports at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Antique tractors to invade fairgrounds
MOUNT GILEAD — Antique tractors will roll into the Morrow County Fairgrounds on Friday for the 34th annual Farm Days and will be on display with lots of activities for the entire family through Sunday.

While at Ashland University, Mount Gilead graduate Owen High plans to keep very busy.
Clark competing for BW track
After completing her track and field career at Mount Gilead High School this past spring, Rebeka Clark will move on to Baldwin Wallace University, where she plans to compete in both the 100-meter hurdles and the long jump.

CARDINGTON — The evening was full of rekindled friendships and reunions with classmates as the 93rd annual Cardington-Lincoln Alumni Banquet began at 5 p.m. on May 27. The banquet was held in the cafeteria at Cardington-Lincoln High School.
Church makes rice meals for Ukraine
Mount Gilead Trinity United Methodist Church members gathered July 15 to make 1,240 rice meal bags which will feed a total of 7,440 people in Ukraine. This is the second year Trinity completed this project.
