What is TOPS and why should I join? TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is the short name for TOPS Cub, Inc., the original, non-profit, noncommercial network of weight-loss support groups. TOPS was founded in 1948 by Esther Manz. TOPS offers tools and programs for healthy living and weight management, with group fellowship and recognition. TOPS’ mission is to support our members as they take off and keep off pounds sensibly.’
Membership dues are $28 annually and chapter dues are less than $5.00 per month. Members receive a TOPS News magazine which is filled with inspirational stories and news. TOPS published Real Life: The Hands-on Pounds Guide that has information on nutrition, fitness, menu planning, recipes and healthy living support. The cost is $18. It is not required but suggested to help along your weight loss journey. Educational brochures are available for healthcare professionals and for prospective members.
If you are ready to shed those few pounds or change your life to a healthy lifestyle, we are here for you. Members can be as young as 7 years old. Members between 7 and 17 are half price.
