Mount Gilead High School Principal Deb Clauss was full of enthusiasm as she introduced April Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month, Brianna Snow and her parents Dina and Brad Snow.

Clauss told Chamber of Commerce members she and Brianna had just gotten back from ten days in Spain with the Mount Gilead High School Spain foreign study group. She said with a laugh that she had seen a whole great new side of Brianna on the trip.

Clauss gave some highlights of Brianna’s years in high school, which include the honor of Salutatorian this year with a 4.15 grade point average. She is Vice President of National Honor Society, President of Student Council and Spanish Club.

Favorite curricular activities include Show Choir and Band and she has the lead part in the musical “Guys and Dolls” in the spring production. Clauss added that she does a “mean Flamenco Dance too.” She has been a member of the MGHS swim team through four years in high school.

Snow will attend Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall to pursue a degree in education.

Clauss concluded by thanking the Morrow County Chamber of Commerce and Consolidated Electric for sponsoring the student of the month award each year.
